Big Big World

taking long time to write again on this blog..had problem with internet connection here..only can on9 at the state library or uni before this..now,'tumpang' others wyrless..hehe~

there's so many things to talk about..about my life here at melbourne,about everyone here,about uni life,etc...

the first time i arrived here,i felt nervous..either i can pass the custom or not..i heard that they're very strict for what we bring into their country..but anyway,the customs here are friendly..they greet us,talk to us with smile..at first,my bag get quarantine..foods inside it(sambal ikan bilis,kuih siput,rempah2,serbuk santan,etc..)..i think i need to throw them away..but the guy said to me, "oh malaysian food..i like malaysian food..they're spicy but i lke it..don't worry,i can handle it *smile*.."
then,i pass..yehuuu~ welcome to melbourne~~

we're lucky that the seniors are ready to welcome us..k.shikin n k.jihan were there (k.intan have important things to do at that time)..me,shay,muz n tee followed k.shikin getting a cab to take us to our new apartment at flinders street..we booking it first through a housing agent..the cost from airport to the apartment is $95..what! it's too expensive..the apartment is still under construction and we're one of the first tenant..still a brand new building n the window didn't have blind yet..but at least we've already get a house n it's a quite big for just 4 of us..and it has beautiful view from balcony..the sad things are, it's very far from uni n located in the city with casinos,pubs,hotels around us..not a perfect place for the student like us to study..this is the melbourne city from my balcony..

now talk bout the weather..by the time i arrived here,it's summer..i expect that it'll be very hot summer like in m'sia or maybe worst (because i read in the news about bushfire in victoria due to hot weather and strong wind)..well,it's not..the temperature never more than 30C..it's around 17-28C..i never get sweat here..even i walk for miles(larat ke..hehe)..n wear sweater too..people here look weird at us bcause we wear something that out of season..they just wear shorts,flip flop,singlet n some of the guys didn't wear shirts at all..different with me,with jeans,thick tshirt,sweater n sport shoes..now is autumn season..more colder than before..with rain almost everyday..the style n fashion also change..no more short pants/singlet but jeans,leather jacket n boots..nicer than before..no more sexy2~
next,talking bout the people..aussie people they are mostly friendly..because they know you're an international students..they'll help you if you're getting lost..just don't be afraid to ask to them..the most obvious thing bout them,the guy there are very gentleman..they'll give way to ladies first..n in the tram,they'll give seat to elder or women..wow~they really consider to the disable n org yg lemah..malaysian should be like this..yup! but things going different during weekend n at night when they're getting drunk n having party..the lecturers also same like the students who 'enjoying' themselves..that's their culture..so for me,friday n saturday nights are my curfew..don't ever get out or u'll get trouble..what scary..one more thing,people here prefer to take public transport, ride on bicycle or just walk instead of using car..the public transport here are reliable n the weather also convenient for walking n cyling..so,less car on the road n less pollution occurs..but still,UV is the big enemy due to the thin layer of ozone..

yeah,melbourne is the big city..n i'm just a small girl in it..but insya Allah still on my learning process n i'll getting bigger..Allah knows best..
